Hi! My name is Kelly Murray and I’m a life long animal lover with over 15 years experience in the pet care industry. I began pet sitting as a side job while attending college at Southern Connecticut State University where I majored in psychology. I soon realized that my passion for animals was something I wanted to make a career out of.
I went on to complete a dog grooming certification program through Animal Behavior College and gained hands on experience interning in a few different grooming shops. Eventually I was able to make a career change and I landed a job as a full time groomer in 2016.
At the end of 2021 I decided to take the next step and open my own business. From there, True Love Pet Care was created. True Love Pet Care is a full service dog grooming spa. The idea is for your pet to be pampered and look beautiful all while relaxing in a stress free comfortable environment. We opened our doors in 2022.
This past year I have completed 4 grooming business courses, became certified in animal reiki and pet communication and completed the AKC salon safe course. I also was a cast member on the Blox (season 6 and 10) (which is a reality web series for entrepreneurs) where I gained so much business knowledge and networked with many amazing people.
I also am a proud member of the Hamden Chamber of commerce and actively participate with my chamber group ❤️ aside from work I enjoy working out, attending concerts, crafting, baking from scratch and hanging with my husband Bill and pets Sebastian, Knox and Tucker.
